Passion Céline Dion

All By Myself
Length: 5:12
Language(s): English
Credits: Carmen, Eric / Rachmaninoff, Sergei
Summary:
Talks about the solitude of a person, who has been alone with themself since they were young.
Notes:
We all remember this song from the author, Eric Carmen. Even though it was a classic from 1975, no one dared to cover it before Céline. Céline did marvels with this song, and her vocal performance is simply impressing. One darker note however, is this is the only song covered by Céline, all by herself, that went on US charts and didn't do better than the original, Carmen brought it up to #2, Céline up to #4. Céline also recorded a Spanish version of this song under the title of Sola Otra Vez, and delivers a stunning vocal performance.

When I was young
I never needed anyone
And making love was just for fun
Those days are gone
Livin' alone
I think of all the friends I've known
When I dial the telephone
Nobody's home

All by myself
Don't wanna be
All by myself
Anymore

Hard to be sure
Sometimes I feel so insecure
And loves so distant and obscure
Remains the cure

All by myself
Don't wanna be
All by myself
Anymore
All by myself
Don't wanna live
All by myself
Anymore

When I was young
I never needed anyone
Making love was just for fun
Those days are gone

All by myself
Don't wanna be
All by myself
Anymore
All by myself
Don't wanna live
Oh
Don't wanna live
By myself, by myself
Anymore
By myself
Anymore
Oh
All by myself
Don't wanna live
I never, never, never
Needed anyone
